Linux Specialist Job Description

Tradeview Markets is looking for intelligent, positive, and adaptive Linux Specialist to drive the delivery of technology, business system solutions and environment support/troubleshooting. Reporting to the CTO, the Linux Specialist will be a core member of the IT/IS team. The Linux Specialist will be support and maintain our Linux environment. As a Linux Specialist, you will be on the front line of supporting and updating the Linux environment.

Additionally, the Linux Specialist shall;

1. Help the team implement/support and update Linux environment based on Ubuntu distribution.

2. Troubleshoot and support Apache servers.

3. Help the team implement CI/CD across different geographical locations

4. Mentor team members on Linux and Apache

5. Have a strong background/specialty in cyber security

Basic Requirements

· Linux certification or relevant expertise.

· Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or in a related field.
· Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, in technical and business settings (verbal and written).
· Multi-tier distributed architecture experience within IT consulting, IT operations, application development or support to include the following: experience migrating, architecting, operating on premises or cloud-based solutions, or experience transforming legacy IT solutions, and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.

· 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, middleware and operating systems.

· 5+ years of experience in the area of specialization (e.g., DBA for RDBMS Specialists, compliance for Security Specialists, messaging systems for Streaming Data Specialist, etc.).

· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

· Ability to present with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

POSITION COMPENSATION

· Compensation is negotiable to reflect the unique skills, capabilities, and background of the ideal candidate. Compensation is competitive with local market conditions and may consist of the following components:
